I moved to Lynn nine years ago with my wife Natalie because we wanted to raise our children in a friendly and diverse neighborhood. We have found that plus a lot more. From winter walks in the Lynn woods, to summer fun on the Lynn beaches we have fallen in love with this city.
We love that Cambodian egg rolls and Dominican beans and rice are as likely to show up at a neighborhood BBQ as hot dogs and hamburgers. We love that there are multiple arts programs in downtown Lynn that our kids can attend and that we can buy fresh produce grown by local kids in the back yard of Ingalls Elementary where our children go to school.
Lynn has so much to offer but it can be so much more! That is why I am running for City Council in Ward 2. I believe in creating new solutions, not fighting old battles. I believe we can build on our city’s assets like our diversity, history and location, instead of being held back by an old way of looking at the city.
I have already started work to make this new Lynn possible. Over the past several years I have been involved with the Lynn Community Association, helped create the Lynn MLK Day of Service and brought parents together to found Lynn Parents Organizing for a Better Education. Now I want to take my leadership to the next level by serving on the Lynn City Council.
As the Ward 2 City Councilor I will deliver responsive constituent services that the ward deserves, encourage development that builds on Lynn’s assets, reform city government to make it smarter and invest in Lynn’s future. Join me in creating solutions for Lynn’s future!
